Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport to host open
house
Community invited to learn more about ongoing
environmental assessment
BOZEMAN, Mont. (July 17, 2024) - The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) invites the community to learn about an ongoing Environmental Assessment (EA) for proposed airport improvements.
"BZN is committed to
transparency and community engagement,” Brian Sprenger, BZN President and Chief
Executive Officer, said. “Our upcoming open house is an important opportunity
for the public to learn about our plans and contribute to the conversation
about the airport’s future."
BZN Environmental Assessment Open House
Thursday, August 1, 2024
5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
BZN Airport Board Room, 850 Gallatin Field Road
The board
room is in the terminal between baggage claim and the rental car counters.
Parking is available in the in short term parking lot. The first hour of
parking is free and validation will be provided to ensure attendees may stay
longer than an hour without accruing parking fees.
An EA is a federal process
used to determine whether a proposed project, in this case, improvements to
BZN, has the potential to significantly affect the human and natural
environment. The EA will identify and assess the potential environmental
impacts of the proposed improvements and reasonable alternatives.
The community is encouraged
to attend the open house to learn about the EA process and planned airport
improvements. Project team members will be available to provide information and
answer questions. There will be no formal presentation and attendees may stop
in at any time during the event.
Additional information about
the EA can be found on the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport website at
